WSOG ’26 Event #03 : DeckHole finally notches a victory in the popular PLO8 Event.

DeckHole started out of the gate fast collecting the Fast-Break Bonus, but took a few serious hits to his stack mid-game, while Tim-The-Great (who was injured early on) fought back to a 2nd place finish and earning the Chip-n-Chair bonus. A very stealthy Micra lurked throughout the tournament finishing a strong 3rd place, while Yim Yames took a roller-coaster to 4th knocking out Scott-Rigged on the way (getting the bounty.) SouthKing, a chip-leader for most of the tournament, took some hits late in the tournament to finish in 5th, while Scott-Rigged managed to bubble in 6th.

WSOG ’26 Event #02 : Mag Kirwin brings his 2025 skills into 2026 by winning WSOG Pot-Limit Omaha.

The World Series of Gundam is taking off in 2026 with an amazing showing for an early year event with 19 players entering the Pot-Limit Omaha event. All eyes were on Godly as she moved through the field and into the money, however, it was Shade that started out in 18th place after the the first break, to move up 16 spots and battle for the bracelet with Mag Kirwin. Unfortunately, he fell 1-spot short, and finished 2nd while Mag Kirwin forced another bracelet to be shipped to Missouri.

While Malarkey shot to the top with the fast break bonus and holding the chip-lead going to the final table, Godly managed to keep her Gundam Point Lead secure for another week, finishing in a very respectful 3rd place. SouthKing came in late, but had a good showing, placing 4th. And the ever consistent TimTheGreat and Scott-Rigged managed to take 5th place and the bubble, respectively.

WSOG ’26 Event #01 : Godly joins the Gundam Club, then promptly smashes Event #01 with a nearly wire-to-wire performance knocking out last year’s champ and grabbing a bracelet.

The 2026 year started out with a good 15 player showing at the World Series of Gundam’s first event: No-Limit Hold’em. Jean jumped out front fast earning the fast-break bonus, while Neumann took some brutal bad beats and was left with a VERY short stack early in the tourney. Neumann worked his way out of a hole, but couldn’t collect the ChipNChair bonus as Scott-the-short-stack-master, went from 2nd to last to 2nd place… battling Godly in a short heads-up match.

With 2026 new rules, Godly collected the bounty on Godel, and really was never at risk of getting knocked out, due to a combination of great play and some timely coolers against big stack opponents.

Godel managed 3rd place by just being the nit he is and Linux nabbed 4th place with solid play and a little bad luck at the end. This year looks to be a good year for the WSOG.

WSOG ’25 Event #10 : Godel goes back-to-back leveraging the Sudduth Razz genetics to pull off another victory.

K. Godel puts in a solid Razz performance besting TimTheGreat, who placed 2nd and Scott22Champ who placed 3rd. It was quite a battle starting near the bubble with 4 remaining with fairly even stacks. Linux dropped out in 4th place, leaving the current 3 point leaders to an epic Razz battle. Eventually, Scott got knocked out so that only TimTheGreat and Godel remained. TimTheGreat took out the point leader (Mag Kirwin) for the bounty and also, was hit early in the tournament and was on fumes. By surviving, he received Chip&Chair bonus. While Godel (who’s stack never seemed at risk) earned the fast break bonus.

WSOG ’25 Event #04 : Malarkey pulls ahead fast and never looks back, taking 1st place in the Two-Game Mix.

Malarkey was chip leader throughout most of the tournament, grabbing the fast-break bonus and the bounty on Mag Kirwin (the current point leader.) His stack never seemed to be in jeopardy as he seemed more cautious than usual, and avoided pot-committing situations. Mircra has been on a bad run lately, which continued as he bubbled. The game was pretty static from level 4 on, with the exception being Linux, who moved up 4-spots earning the chip-n-chair bonus. The money battle was fairly short, with the first cashout casualty being Godel, finishing 4th, while Mag Kirwin picked up the points needed to stay in 1st place cashing in 3rd place. Scott22Champ, as always, finished strong in 2nd place moving him into 3rd over all in Gundam Points.

WSOG ’25 Event #03 : Scott22Champ goes from an initial low-stack to winner by capping off a grueling battle from the bubble on.

Scott22Champ started slow, but built his stack continuously by dishing-out some coolers and avoiding traps and mistakes. The previous top 3 point leaders (TLS33, Godel and DeckHole) were the first ones ejected from the 5-Card Draw event, setting the stage for the rest of the field to catch up and Mag Kirwin to leap ahead. Meanwhile, Hoffman got off to a very fast start, collecting the fast-break, while Jean (the assassin) knocked out Sumner for one of the two bounties and Scott22Champ knocked out Godel, collecting both a bounty and a chip-n-chair bonus. Linux fought hard keeping his short stack in play into the money, while TimTheGreat finally leaped into 2nd place. While Mircra bubbled, the points he collected, puts him in the mix with 7 other players clustered near the top of the leader board. It is really still anyones Championship to win going into the last 3-quarters of the World Series of Gundam season.

WSOG ’24 Event #12 : Linux cashes big in the Main Event, taking 1st

Linux battled through both Hoffman (3rd place), who had a dominate chip-stack throughout most of the tournament, and S.Braswell (2nd place), who snapped into action once in the money. Godel took 4th, while M.Braswell bubbled. The fast break went to McClary while the Chip&Chair went to the younger M.Braswell.

WSOG ’24 Event #11 : Flopper comes from Down-Under to crush the prestigious 3-Game Mix Event

The first International bracelet will be shipped outside the U.S. as Flopper (from Australia) takes down the 3-Game Mix and collecting the bounty on Tim-the-Great, and grinding down JeanGreen (winner of chip-n-chair bonus), who finished 2nd. Braswell senior (Scott) took 3rd place, while Mag-Kirwin made the money in 4th. There was little doubt that Braswell junior (Breezy) would get the Fast-Break having almost 2x more than 2nd place chip leader after the 1st break.

WSOG ’24 Event #10 : McClary wins a fourth bracelet after a brutal back-and-forth Heads-Up battle with Hoffman

McClary has now won 40% of the 24′ WSOG Events. Embracing the torture of Razz, McClary fizzled out quickly before the re-entry period ended, but then came roaring back after a roller-coaster ride by many players. Jean “the assassin” Sudduth quickly disposed of Decker for the bounty and the Fast Break Bonus while Sumner fought from last place to the bubble earning the Chip&Chair bonus. But the main battle was fought in the 3-handed and heads-up final table. With Hoffman and McClary trading blows and the chip-lead will over a half-a-dozen times.
