The Braswell’s are back at it with younger Braswell taking 1st and elder taking 3rd sandwiching T.Sumner, who finished 2nd. So far the Braswell’s are dominating 2024, each winning a bracelet in the first two WOSG events which puts them in 1st (S.Braswell) and 2nd (M.Braswell) in Gundam Points for the year.
T.Sumner, who took a quick lead (but not as quick as T.McClary, who won the fast-break bonus), amassed a huge amount of chips early (nearly 1/2 of the chips at the table) and kept them until it got to heads-up with M.Braswell by knocking out the other Braswell for the Bounty point. M.Braswell had fought his way from 7th to 1st (nabbing the chip-n-chair bonus on the way) and traded blows with T.Sumner until the final shot was fired, knocking Sumner out. Sudduth made up some ground from his dismal performance in Event #02 by bubbling in Event #02.

It sure feels like a new year, with Decker not finishing in the bottom two-spots and M.Sudduth (Godel) going out in last place. McClary (after having a strong 2023) finishes strong (2nd place) in the first WSOG event of the year. But it is S.Braswell who dominated the event when it got into the money, knocking out the last 3 players remaining. Let’s see how he does with a Bounty on his head!

It was a game of huge hands, with straight-flushes beating nut-flushes, boats beating boats and quads appearing out of no-where. Plenty of bad-beats and coolers to go around.

It was the second (maybe third) WSOG event where M.Sudduth found himself short-stacked early (this time getting the chip-n-chair bonus) and bailed out with double-ups from big bluffs or weaker hands piling into his monsters (though, no call is easy when your tournament life is at risk.) The assassin (aka J.Sudduth) started heads-up with a dominate chip-lead but couldn’t quite get her kill shot stabilized allowing her spawn to crawl into first and stay there and collect his own bounty. Streu ended up in 3rd place while S.Braswell was in 4th. Sumner got off to an early start earning the fast-break bonus.

In typical Meyer fashion, he rises from ashes, in a large 16 player field, by taking a low-stack and grinding it out for a victory. This time knocking the current Gundam Point Leader, SudduthM for the bounty. Meirsonne grabs the chip-n-chair and 3rd place, while Lamb manages to cash in 4th place. Sumner got off to a fast start grabbing the fast-break bonus as well as the bubble-bonus.

It was an epic battle, with Decker blasting away 3 buy-ins and Jean taking out the Gundam Point Leader pretty early in the tournament. The Gundam Point Leader, M.Sudduth, got off to a quick start earning the Fast-Break-Bonus, however, shortly after that he ended up getting waxed by his own mother (aka ‘the assassin’) who picked up the bounty bonus and ended up with the victory as well.
Meanwhile, S.Brawell battled with a short-stack long enough to pick-up the Chip-N-Chair Bonus. Towards the end it looked like Meiresonne was going to dominate, but T.McClary soon took charge and the chip lead, until late in the game when J.Sudduth and B.Meiresonne took some big pots from McClary. He eventually fell to Jean, who finally managed to NOT split a few pots with him, earning her another WSOG Bracelet.
